Ireland’s longest-running and most successful Country Music series, Glór Tíre, is set to return in 2025 for its landmark 21st season. Broadcast on TG4, Ireland’s national Irish language station, the show continues its legacy of discovering rising talent in the country music scene. Produced by Galway-based Gael Media, Glór Tíre has become a key platform for emerging artists in the Irish Country music world.
Season 21 will see eight contestants compete for the coveted title of Glór Tíre Country Music Champion 2025. The finalists include John Mullan (Derry/Tyrone), Erin Noone (Meath), Marion Kelly (Limerick), Jack Larry (Donegal), Michaela Harkin (Donegal), Paddy Treacy (Fermanagh), Conor Ownes (Fermanagh), and Jack Gladney (Carlow). Each contestant will receive mentorship from some of Ireland’s top country music stars, including Cliona Hagan, Mike Denver, David James, and The Tumbling Paddies.
The series will air in March and April, with the first four episodes being recorded on January 29 and 30 at Stiúideo Telegael in Baile na hAbhann, County Galway. Fans can attend the live recordings, enjoying performances from the mentors, this year’s contestants, and a lively atmosphere with music and dancing.
Hosted by Aoife Ní Thuairisg, Glór Tíre will feature judges Jó Ní Chéide and Caitriona Ní Shuilleabháin, with guest judges including Eddie Rowley, Hugo Duncan, Sandy Kelly, and Louise Morrissey. The show will showcase not only traditional country music but also celebrate Ireland’s growing country talent.
