Benson Boone, WA Pop Star, Announces His First Seattle Arena Concert

Benson Boone, the breakout star behind the hit song “Beautiful Things,” continues to rise in the music world over a year after his debut success. On Monday, he announced his first headlining arena tour, which will include a homecoming concert on October 5 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. Tickets will be available to the public starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 9, through Ticketmaster, with presales for American Express cardholders and select venues starting earlier on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Seattle concert will be one of the final stops on Boone’s “American Heart Tour,” named after his upcoming second album, American Heart, set for release on June 20 via Night Street Records, a Warner Bros. imprint led by Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds. Boone first gained attention on American Idol in 2021 before leaving the competition and signing with Reynolds’ label.

At just 23 years old, Boone has become a standout in a competitive year for new pop talent, releasing his debut album Rollerblades & Fireworks in 2024, just a month before performing at Showbox SoDo in Seattle. Known for his energetic performances, including backflips, he has already made a significant impact this year with high-profile performances. Boone wowed audiences at Coachella, where he was joined by Queen guitarist Brian May to perform “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and delivered a powerful rendition of “Beautiful Things” at the Grammys, where he was nominated for Best New Artist.

Boone also made his debut on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, performing his new singles “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” and “Mystical Magical.” In addition to his musical performances, Boone appeared in a skit, playing an Applebee’s waiter during the Weekend Update segment.
