The Cliburn Competition Partners with Apple Music Classical

by Patria

The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition has announced a new partnership with Apple Music Classical and its record label, Platoon.

Because of this partnership, all live performances from the 2025 competition will be available on the Apple Music Classical app just days after they happen. Listeners can enjoy these performances in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, the service’s high-quality sound format.

Additionally, the three medal winners of the 2025 competition will each record an album. These albums will be released on the Platoon label later in 2025.

Apple Music Classical has also launched several playlists curated by the Cliburn team. These playlists include performances by past Cliburn medalists as well as by Van Cliburn himself.

The 2025 competition will take place from May 21 to June 7. It will be streamed live on The Violin Channel.

Apple Music Classical holds the world’s largest classical music catalog and offers the highest audio quality among streaming services.

Its standout feature is a search engine designed specifically for classical music. Users can search by composer, work, conductor, orchestra, instrument, or opus number.

The service also provides access to more than 50,000 album booklets. These booklets contain detailed program notes and texts or translations for vocal works.
