What began as a cleverly written diss track has grown into something much bigger. At the 2025 Grammys, Kendrick Lamar’s sharp Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” won in all five categories for which it was nominated. Beyond this achievement, the song continues to hold a strong presence on the music charts.
The NFR Podcast reports that “Not Like Us” is now the longest-charting rap song in history, with 53 weeks on the charts. Billboard has confirmed the song’s 53-week run on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. However, Billboard has not officially confirmed it as the longest-charting rap song ever. Still, the publication recognized one important accomplishment of the track.
On Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, “Not Like Us” holds the record for the longest run, spending 53 weeks on the chart. Of those weeks, 26 were at No. 1.
But Kendrick Lamar faces competition—from himself and SZA. Billboard revealed that Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s collaboration, “Luther,” has spent 21 weeks at No. 1 on the same chart. This ties the record previously set by SZA’s solo hit “Kill Bill.”
This means Lamar holds both the longest run with “Not Like Us” and the second-longest with “Luther” on the Hot Rap Songs chart. Meanwhile, SZA holds the third-longest run.
Meanwhile, “Not Like Us” remains central to Drake’s ongoing defamation and payola lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG).
