Extreme metal supergroup Scour has debuted a chilling new music video for their track “Blades,” taken from their upcoming album Gold, set for release in February via Nuclear Blast Records. Directed by Malcolm Pugh, the video features haunting footage from Philip Anselmo’s annual Housecore Home Haunt 2024 event, as well as the band’s recent live performance at Southport Music Hall in New Orleans.
Derek Engemann, from Scour, shared his thoughts on the track, stating, “‘Blades’ is a fierce, unholy grinding of spirits that perfectly captures the relentless energy of Gold. Its blistering riffs made it a natural choice for the second track on the album, keeping the intensity alive.”
Filmed during Halloween, the video’s gothic and grotesque atmosphere complements the song’s ferocity, solidifying “Blades” as a blood-soaked anthem meant to be blasted at maximum volume.
