Bernie Taupin, renowned as Sir Elton John’s longtime lyrical partner, will take center stage at the upcoming charity event ‘The Other Songs Live.’ Set to be held at the London Palladium on May 20, the event promises an intimate and insightful look into the creative process behind some of music’s most iconic hits.
Joining Taupin will be a lineup of talented artists including Tom Odell, Gabriels, Celeste, KAMILLE, and more, all coming together in support of music charities. The event, in partnership with the Ivors Academy and leading up to The Ivors with Amazon Music, aims to celebrate distinguished songwriters and offer audiences a unique ‘backstage’ experience through performances, interviews, and storytelling throughout the evening.
Among the confirmed participants are KAMILLE, known for her songwriting contributions to acts like Little Mix, and Jin Jin, whose credits include collaborations with Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, and Raye. Also in the lineup is Toby Gad, the German producer behind John Legend’s smash hit ‘All Of Me,’ Fergie’s ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry,’ and Beyoncé’s ‘If I Were A Boy.’
Additionally, the event will showcase talents such as viral Irish singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot, New York band of brothers Infinity Song, and rising star Sam Wilkinson.
Proceeds from the event will be directed towards supporting The BRIT School, The Ivors Academy Trust, and Nordoff and Robbins, highlighting the charitable aspect of the evening.
