Juice WRLD’s remix of XXXTentacion’s song “whoa (mind in awe)” will officially be released on May 30. This news was revealed through a trailer filmed in Jamaica.
The announcement comes as Juice WRLD’s album Goodbye & Good Riddance marks its seventh anniversary this Friday. Along with this milestone, fans received exciting news about the remix.
The original track is from XXXTentacion’s album Skins. According to an official press release, “X left the original record with an open verse that Juice WRLD recorded over in December 2018.”
The trailer promoting the remix also highlights XXXTentacion’s family roots in Jamaica. It shows his family’s connection to the island and their shared love of soccer.
In addition, XXXTentacion’s estate is partnering with Epic Games and JOGO Studios. Together, they will add four of XXXTentacion’s songs to the popular game Fortnite. On Friday, May 23, at 8 p.m. ET, Fortnite will release a special XXXTentacion emote. Then, on Saturday, May 31, the game will host a unique event called Super Red vs. Blue Island, celebrating the rapper’s legacy.
Fans can expect the “whoa (mind in awe) (Remix)” to be available on all platforms starting Friday, May 30.
