The highly anticipated Poisoned Ascendancy Tour will come to an early end, with the North American dates marking its conclusion after Matt Tuck of Bullet For My Valentine suddenly pulled out of the planned international dates.
Paolo Gregoletto, bassist for Trivium, shared his frustration, stating, “Matt Tuck didn’t want to do it, after we had planned it, after things were already in motion — I don’t know why.”
Launched on January 26 in Cardiff, the tour was a celebration of two decades since both bands released their breakthrough albums. Fans were treated to full performances of The Poison and Ascendancy. However, the sudden cancellation means that all upcoming shows in South America and Australia, scheduled into 2025, will no longer take place. The tour’s final show will occur at the Red Hat Amphitheater in North Carolina.
Tensions escalated when Trivium voiced concerns about Tuck’s handling of their road crew, which added fuel to the fire between the two metal bands.
Swedish band Orbit Culture, who had been opening for the tour, will continue with the remaining North American dates. Other new opening acts are expected to be announced as Trivium wraps up the rest of their North American shows.
Despite the shortened tour, Trivium is committed to making the remaining performances special for fans, promising exciting new acts to join them on stage.
