Country music star Megan Moroney has long recognized the power of social media platforms like TikTok for introducing new music. The singer, known for her ability to connect with fans online, recently shared some exciting news: a TikTok fan-favorite track will be featured on her upcoming album.
Moroney revealed in a video with radio host Elaina Smith that the unreleased song “Wedding Dress” will be included on her third studio album, tentatively titled MM3. When asked by Smith about the saddest track on the album, Moroney didn’t hesitate to name “Wedding Dress” as the emotional standout. She even admitted this was the first time she’d publicly mentioned the song’s inclusion. “That’s the first time I’m saying that out loud,” she said. “I didn’t get approval to do that, but it’s literally fine.”
The song’s lyrics are deeply emotional, with Moroney explaining its heart-wrenching message: “I’m okay with missing him now, but please don’t let me miss him in a wedding dress. That’s about as sad as it gets.”
In December 2024, a video of Moroney performing the track surfaced online. Fans quickly expressed their admiration for the unplugged version of the song, which featured only Moroney’s voice and an acoustic guitar. Many fans urged the singer to officially release the track, with others commenting on its beauty.
Although there is no official release date for MM3 at this time, fans can look forward to Moroney’s Am I Okay? Tour this summer. The tour, which supports her recent album of the same name, will take her across the U.S., with stops at music festivals, fairgrounds, and amphitheaters.
As fans eagerly await new music, Moroney’s ability to blend social media engagement with her musical journey continues to make her a standout artist in the country music scene.
