H Music Entertainment has officially introduced HITGS, a new five-member K-pop girl group. Their name stands for “Hip, Innocent, Teenager, Girls, and Story.” With the release of The 1st Single [Things we love : H], HITGS invites listeners into their fresh and vibrant world, full of charm and emotional storytelling.
The debut includes two songs and a music video. It marks the beginning of HITGS’ journey as artists and storytellers. The debut is produced by Ryan Jhun, one of K-pop’s most famous producers. His past work includes hits for SHINee, Super Junior, f(x), Taeyeon, EXO, NCT, IU, TWICE, MONSTA X, and IVE. With Jhun’s proven ability to create global hits, HITGS is expected to make a strong impact on the K-pop scene.
The lead single, SOURPATCH, features a groovy rhythm based on 808 bass, bouncy drum beats, and a catchy melody. The lyrics use a conversational tone to describe the sudden arrival of love and the emotional experiences of teenage life. The music video, full of colorful visuals, highlights HITGS’ unique teenage charm and showcases their distinct identity through both sound and performance.
The second track, Never Be Me, offers a brighter and more confident sound. It is a dance-pop song with trendy grooves, simple beats, and an addictive chorus. This track delivers a bold, feel-good message and shows the group’s strong vocal and performance skills.
Together, the two songs present HITGS as a fresh, fearless, and unique new force in K-pop.
At the heart of HITGS’ concept is a simple message: to celebrate everything we love, whether big or small. “We want to keep talking about all the things that make each day special,” the members said. “We hope that everyone, including us, can share more often about the little things we love—the things that sparkle in life. And someday, if HITGS becomes one of those things you love, it would mean the world to us.”
HITGS is made up of five members:
SEOJIN, a charismatic dancer and rapper;
SEOHEE, the powerful main vocalist;
HYERIN, the radiant center and visual;
IYOO, the main dancer, rapper, and energetic youngest member;
VW, who brings strong visuals and sweet vocals.
As HITGS continues to grow, both as a group and as individuals, they aim to build a collection of stories that reflect who they are and who they are becoming. “The more our stories build up,” they said, “the more you will see what makes us truly unique.
