by Patria

Indie pop artist Marielle Kraft will take the stage at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 2. The concert will be held at the Turner Center Art Park, located at 605 North Patterson St. This performance marks the eighth of ten free concerts in the 2025 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series. The series is sponsored by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation, The Price-Campbell Foundation, WALB News 10, Lamar Advertising, and the Valdosta Daily Times.

Kraft’s music and live shows make audiences feel like they already know her. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the indie pop singer-songwriter has crafted a sound that resonates with fans, drawing comparisons to artists like Colbie Caillat, Maisie Peters, and Taylor Swift. A self-taught musician from Rhode Island, Kraft started playing guitar at 16 and quickly began writing songs that connected with listeners. Her storytelling is powerful, using vivid details, raw emotion, and thoughtful word choices to capture moments “exactly as they feel.”

Over the past few years, Kraft has released two original EPs, along with eight singles and four official music videos. Her 2017 debut single, “How Far You Feel,” has earned over 1 million streams. Kraft’s debut studio EP, The Deep End, was released on July 12, 2019, featuring popular tracks like “Toothbrush” and “Better Without You.”

Kraft regularly performs at venues across the United States, sharing the stage with well-known artists such as Mt. Joy, Ava Max, and Betty Who. Her live shows are known for their seamless flow, combining reflection with encouragement. Kraft’s authenticity on stage creates a strong connection with her audience, making her shows feel personal and intimate.

The public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the concert. The opening act will be the VMS Jazz Ensemble, and food will be available from Burritos Mexican Grill. Beverage vendor Downtown Social will also be on site, along with community partners Second Harvest Food Bank and Living Bridges. Admission and parking are free.
