Joe Budden is not holding back when it comes to his opinion on Tommy Richman’s latest musical release. During a recent episode of his podcast, the outspoken rapper and host expressed his disdain for Richman, particularly after the singer distanced himself from hip-hop. Budden and his co-hosts previewed a snippet of Richman’s new song, and their reaction was far from positive.
Budden wasted no time sharing his thoughts, telling his audience, “Aye dog, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but get this shit the fk out of here and get you the fk out of here. Don’t try to sneak back in yet. We’re not done being mad at you.” He further compared Richman to other artists like Daniel Caesar, stating, “Daniel Caesar got more talent in his pinky than Tommy f**king Richman.”
Budden’s critique didn’t stop there. He went on to say, “I don’t like nothing about Tommy Richman. I think he should retire. But he can’t because some hedge fund dude done signed him and keeps dumping money into him, so we gotta keep hearing the horrible version of the shit that worked for you.”
Budden’s scathing review marks the latest chapter in the ongoing tension between the two, with Budden suggesting Richman is unable to evolve musically and should step away from the industry.
