Finnish progressive metal band AMORPHIS will release their fifteenth studio album, Borderland, on September 26 through Reigning Phoenix Music. This new album follows their 2022 release, Halo. It was recorded earlier this year at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark, with producer Jacob Hansen.
Guitarist Esa Holopainen shared his thoughts on the collaboration: “Borderland is the first AMORPHIS album produced with Danish producer Jacob Hansen. Previously, we made three great records at Jens Bogren’s studio. During planning, we felt it was time to try something new and see what working with a different producer would bring.”
To introduce the album, AMORPHIS will release the first single, “Light And Shadow,” on June 6.
Jacob Hansen has been a leading figure in heavy music production for over 20 years. He has worked with many well-known bands, including VOLBEAT, ARCH ENEMY, AMARANTHE, KATATONIA, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, PRETTY MAIDS, EPICA, DELAIN, and EVERGREY.
