Country music legend Randy Travis is set to release his heartfelt new song, “Horses In Heaven,” this Friday, January 31. Similar to his 2024 single “Where That Came From,” the song will feature an AI-generated version of Travis’s iconic voice, enabling fans to experience his powerful vocals once again despite the stroke that robbed him of the ability to perform over a decade ago.
Travis, who suffered a life-altering stroke in 2013, remains an enduring figure in the country music community. In a social media post earlier today, he expressed his gratitude for the continued opportunity to create music:
“When I began my recovery almost 12 years ago many things changed, but one thing stayed the same—my desire to share new music and create new memories,” Travis wrote. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to continue doing that thanks to family, friends, fans, and God’s grace.”
The new song holds special significance for Travis, whose lifelong bond with horses has deeply influenced his music. “I still remember the first time I stepped into those stirrups as a little boy, and my horses have been family to me ever since,” he shared.
“Horses In Heaven” will be available for streaming everywhere this Friday. Meanwhile, Travis is currently on the road with his “More Life” tour, joined by guest vocalist James Dupre, who performs alongside him throughout the tour.
