Country music star Sam Hunt was arrested in Henderson County, Tennessee, following a traffic stop. The 40-year-old singer, known for his hit “Country House,” was pulled over for speeding, but authorities discovered he was also in violation of an interlock device.
Hunt was released the same day on a $1,500 bond. A representative for the singer confirmed that no charges would be filed for the interlock violation, as his lawyer had cleared the matter in court. However, Hunt will be required to pay a speeding ticket.
The interlock device is a result of Hunt’s 2019 DUI arrest in Nashville. Following the incident, Hunt publicly acknowledged his poor decision to drink and drive, calling it “a selfish mistake” and assuring fans it would not happen again.
Hunt has not released new music since his Locked Up EP in April 2024, and his last tour was held in the fall of 2024.
