Uncured, the rising champions of nu-metalcore, have announced their debut album, Warpath, set for release on February 21, 2025. The highly anticipated album is available for pre-order now.
Alongside the announcement, the New Jersey quartet, consisting of Rex Cox (vocals), Zak Cox (guitars), Zachary “King Z” King (drums), and Betto Andrade (bass), have dropped their latest single, “Bleed Me Dry.” The track opens with a massive chorus featuring soaring harmonies, before transitioning into frantic synths, melodic verses, a deathcore breakdown, and one of the band’s signature guitar solos.
“Everyday life can be monotonous, especially when there is only a narrow framework for acceptable self-expression,” Rex Cox explains. “Despite the ‘slow death’ that comes from the ‘thousand cuts’ of daily indignity, the song pushes the listener to break away from their downward spiral.”
With Warpath, Uncured delivers a powerful message through their unique, unrelenting sound. The album blends soaring choruses, visceral screams, and gut-wrenching deathcore elements, all underpinned by lightning-fast lyrics, pounding guitar riffs, and thundering breakdowns.
The band’s debut single, “Mask of Sanity,” charted on Billboard’s Top 40 Mainstream Rock and was featured on SiriusXM Octane Test Drive. Their second single, “Manifesto,” also gained significant attention, receiving critical acclaim from UK outlets like Metal Hammer and Kerrang. Uncured’s Warpath promises to be an unapologetically intense and captivating debut.
