Stray Kids Fans Queue Before San Francisco Concert

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Hundreds of eager Stray Kids fans gathered in San Francisco on Wednesday, lining up early to buy merchandise and secure prime spots for the K-pop group’s concert at Oracle Park.

Stray Kids is a popular boy band from South Korea. They tour only occasionally but have a strong global following. ABC7 News reporter Gloria Rodriguez spoke with fans, who call themselves “Stay.”

Many fans waited for hours to enter through the VIP gate. Their goal was to get close to the stage in the pit area. They said the wait was worth it.

“They are really inspiring to a lot of people. That is why we are all here. We love their music together,” said Astra Jeong, a Stray Kids fan.

When asked why she loves their music, Jeong said, “It’s very energetic, and the lyrics mean a lot to many people, including me.”

Another fan, Alivia Johnson, said she has waited years to see the group perform. She admires the band’s passion.

“They are very dedicated. No matter what challenges they faced from the start, they kept pushing through. Now they are very big, and that’s really cool,” Johnson said.

There was also a separate line for buying merchandise. Many fans planned to get their merch and stay for the concert later that evening.

The show was scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
