Groundwater 2025 Set to Deliver Three Days of Pure Country Fun

by Patria

Country music fans, get ready. The Groundwater Country Music Festival is coming back to Broadbeach this October. For three days, the Gold Coast will host sun, surf, and great country music.

Leading the 2025 lineup is Australian country star Troy Cassar-Daley. He recently made history by winning a record number of Golden Guitar awards. Joining him are American chart-topper Jackson Dean, fan favourite Brad Cox, and rising acts like Shane Smith & The Saints, The Wolfe Brothers, Lane Pittman, Sara Berki, and Felicity Kircher, who won the 2025 Toyota Star Maker.

Cassar-Daley said, “I’ve played Groundwater many times over the years. The crowds all share one thing in common: their love of country music. This festival brings big international acts and gives young Australian artists a chance to shine. It’s full of love. I can’t wait to play.”

The festival’s lineup mixes famous international stars with fast-rising local talents. This blend strengthens Groundwater’s reputation as a must-visit country music celebration by the coast.

Jackson Dean, who made a strong impression at Groundwater in 2023 with his hit “Don’t Come Lookin’,” is excited to return. He said, “I’m stoked to come back to the Gold Coast and see all you beautiful people. It’s been too long since we shared our style of country music in Australia.”

Among the new stars is Lane Pittman, an 18-year-old from Tamworth. She became well-known after appearing on The Voice Australia. Recently, she won New Talent of the Year and Song of the Year at major country music awards. Sara Berki is also returning with her lively show. Her viral performance of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” at the Gabba reached over 7 million views. She said, “Groundwater is very special. There’s no other festival like it. Mixing Australia’s best artists with international stars in this beautiful setting makes it a weekend you don’t want to miss.”

The festival will also feature many supporting acts. These include Max Jackson, The Buckleys, Minor Gold, Tyla Rodrigues, Bo’Ness Brothers, Claudia Tripp, Round Mountain Girls, The High Street Drifters, Hutch, and the popular Beachside Line Dancing with Chris Watson.

Now in its twelfth year, the free festival continues to grow. Fans enjoy the unique mix of streetside and seaside stages. Whether you watch from a park, a busy bar, or a balcony, Groundwater offers a unique musical experience.

Festival Director Mark Duckworth said the event is becoming a key part of the coastal music scene. “We are creating something special — a yearly celebration where country music thrives by the beach.”

Acting Mayor Mark Hammel agreed. He called Groundwater a flagship event for the region. “This free family festival fits perfectly with our goal to be one of Australia’s top live music destinations. It’s time to dust off your Akubra hats and celebrate in October.”

Produced by Experience Gold Coast, the Groundwater Country Music Festival runs from 17 to 19 October 2025. It promises heart, harmony, and good vibes at the famous Broadbeach foreshore.
