Country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus shared dramatic footage on Instagram of a severe storm hitting his Nashville home on May 20.

In a short video posted to his Instagram Stories, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer captured large chunks of hail falling rapidly to the ground.

“Oh my gosh, chunks of hail falling from the sky. It is a tornado, oh my goodness,” Cyrus is heard saying in the clip. He also filmed heavy rain and strong winds shaking trees near his property.

According to Fox Weather, several tornadoes touched down across parts of mid-Mississippi to the lower Ohio Valley between May 20 and May 21. Confirmed tornado activity was reported in Alabama, Tennessee, and Illinois. The storms brought widespread thunderstorms, strong winds, and heavy rain that knocked down trees and power lines, leading to outages and road blockages in several areas.

Cyrus has not provided any further updates on the damage to his property or whether he was affected after the storm.

The singer has recently drawn public attention for his relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley. The couple went public with their romance on Easter Sunday, sharing a photo together on Instagram.

Just two days before the storm, on May 18, Cyrus posted a picture of a magazine cover he spotted while shopping at Target. The cover featured a photo of him and Hurley. In response, Hurley commented with several red heart emojis, showing support and affection.

Billy Ray Cyrus remains active on social media, sharing both personal moments and weather events with his fans.
