Central Cee may have cracked the code for British rappers looking to make it big in America. The West London native’s debut album, Can’t Rush Greatness, released in late January, has made history by becoming the first U.K. rap album to break the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The 17-track project, praised for its mix of gritty street narratives and booming drill beats, debuted at number 9 after earning nearly 37,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., including 10,000 in pure sales. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Central Cee’s rise, signaling his potential to become the first U.K. rapper to truly conquer the American market.
