The Black Keys are hitting the road again, this time with a new tour titled No Rain No Flowers following the cancellation of their 2024 trek. The Akron-based duo is aiming for a smoother and more successful tour experience this year after their 2024 plans were abruptly canceled.
Originally, the band had planned a 31-date stretch for their International Players Tour, slated to kick off in September and run through November. However, just months before the tour’s start, the band announced the cancellation, reassuring fans that both guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney were in good health but wanted to adjust the show’s presentation for North American audiences.
“We decided to make some changes to the North American leg of the International Players Tour to provide a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band,” the band shared in a statement. They promised to announce new dates shortly.
Despite only playing a handful of shows for the remainder of the year, speculation about the tour’s cancellation ran rampant, with many pointing to low ticket sales as the likely cause. Adding fuel to the fire, the band parted ways with their management team in early June 2024, followed by Carney’s cryptic social media post, “We got f—ed. I’ll let you all know how so it doesn’t happen to you. Stay tuned.”
With the No Rain No Flowers tour now on the horizon, fans are hopeful that this revamped experience will bring the excitement the duo’s U.S. dates had promised.
