AC/DC has announced a highly anticipated homecoming show in Edinburgh this summer, as part of their ongoing POWER UP tour across Europe. The legendary rock band will take the stage at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 21, marking their only UK appearance so far.
The show holds special significance for brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, both originally from Cranhill, Glasgow. This performance will be their first in Scotland in over a decade, making it a nostalgic return for the band.
The POWER UP tour, named after their latest chart-topping album, has already seen the band perform across Europe, and will continue in Spring 2025 with 12 dates scheduled in 10 countries. Tickets for the Edinburgh show will go on sale February 7, 2025, at 10 a.m.
Formed in 1973, AC/DC has sold over 200 million albums worldwide. Their iconic album Back In Black remains the best-selling album by any band and the third best-selling album of all time, with over 50 million copies sold globally.
