Groovin the Moo has confirmed it will not take place in 2025, as organizers focus on creating a more sustainable model for the beloved regional festival.
In a statement released, festival officials explained, “Groovin the Moo won’t be happening in 2025, while we work on finding the most sustainable model for Australia’s most loved regional touring festival.” This announcement was also shared across the festival’s official social media platforms.
The fate of the 2025 edition had remained uncertain since the cancellation of the 2024 event, especially since this new statement comes exactly one year after the 2024 lineup was revealed. The 2024 edition was scrapped just two weeks after its lineup announcement, with organizers citing insufficient ticket sales as the reason for pulling the event.
The news follows the recent cancellation of the Splendour in the Grass festival, which also confirmed it would not be hosting an event this year, marking its second consecutive year without a festival.
