Lainey Wilson is once again in the spotlight at this year’s Grammy Awards, where she has earned a nomination for Best Country Album for her latest project, Whirlwind. Alongside her nomination, Wilson will also take the stage as a performer, marking another significant milestone in her rapid rise to stardom.
Reflecting on the journey, Wilson expressed her awe at how far she’s come. “It’s really crazy for me to wrap my head around being invited, much less nominated, much less winning last year,” she said. “And now getting to perform—it just keeps getting better and better. I don’t know how that happens.”
Having won Best Country Album in 2024 for Bell Bottom Country, Wilson shared how meaningful the recognition is to her. “A Grammy nomination and a win, to me, means that that nine-year-old little girl that had these big old dreams was right,” she said. “And also, just having the respect of your peers and the people that you look up to—the ones that are voting—it means a lot.”
