Country music star Jake Owen is set to take the stage at the Du Quoin State Fair Grandstand on Friday, August 29, bringing his signature sound to southern Illinois. Known for 10 No. 1 hits and over 2.5 billion on-demand streams, Owen remains a fan favorite in the country music scene.
Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, highlighted the significance of Owen’s performance, stating, “We are committed to a diverse lineup of Grandstand acts. Country artists are a crowd favorite in southern Illinois, and we are excited to bring Jake Owen to the Du Quoin State Fair.”
Owen’s award-winning career features a string of gold and platinum records, with chart-topping hits such as “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin’,” “Anywhere With You,” “Alone With You,” and “The One That Got Away.” In addition to his music success, he ventured into acting, appearing in the 2019 film Our Friend.
Currently wrapping up his 2024 tour schedule, Owen has been on the road with Dan + Shay as part of The Heartbreak on The Map Tour, performing across 30 cities.
Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison expressed excitement for the upcoming show, noting, “Jake Owen gives his all during his performances, and the crowd responds by singing along with their favorite hit songs. This is going to be an iconic summer concert at the Du Quoin State Fair.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 31, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. The Du Quoin State Fair runs from August 22 to September 1.
