A new benefit album, Back in the Garage – Los Angeles Fire Relief Compilation, brings together live recordings from a host of country music stars based in Los Angeles, including Jonny Fritz, Dylan Earl, Darlin Brando, and many others. The album, which features live performances recorded in the home studio of brothers Luke and Tristan Pelletier, aims to raise funds for those affected by the recent wildfires in the region.
Tragically, several of the participating artists, including Fritz, Brando, Harrison Whitford, Mason Stoops, and Cooper Kenward, have also been displaced by the devastating fires. All proceeds from the album will be equally divided between MusiCares, which supports musicians in crisis, and the Pasadena Humane Society, which provides aid to animals impacted by the disasters.
Luke Pelletier, reflecting on the personal and community toll of the wildfires, said, “It’s been so hard watching our friends lose so much and watching parts of our city washed away in flames. These recordings have become an archive of what was happening in L.A. from 2021 to 2025. And in these times, with so much loss, this document of art that happened in Los Angeles feels extra valuable.”
The album is available on Bandcamp for digital download and as a 4LP vinyl set.
