Hungarian metal band Nest of Plagues has unveiled the music video for their new track, “Mundane,” which dives deep into the existential fear of living an ordinary life. The song’s lyrics explore the isolation felt by those wondering if they are special or simply another cog in the wheel. Set in an arcade, the video portrays an escape from daily struggles, offering a brief respite from the harsh realities of life. However, it raises the unsettling question: If everyone is trying to avoid their truth, what is reality?
“Mundane” is featured on Nest of Plagues’ upcoming concept album Hellsolation, set for release in September 2024. The album tackles societal issues within a dark cyberpunk-themed universe, highlighting the daily struggles many face.
