Colorado-based rock band The Velveteers have released a striking new music video for their track “Bound In Leather,” a single from their highly anticipated upcoming album A Million Knives, due out in February via Easy Eye Sound.
Frontwoman Demi Demitro describes the song as a deeply introspective exploration of emotional and physical confinement. “To me, ‘Bound In Leather’ feels like looking through a kaleidoscope,” she says. “It’s a song about feeling bound in your skin, with the chorus inspired by a type of dysphoria—feeling trapped by your own skin and wishing you weren’t bound by its limitations.” The track also touches on themes of guardedness and the need for trust to be earned, rather than freely given.
Fans can expect A Million Knives to deliver more of the band’s raw energy and reflective lyrics when it arrives next month.
