Blink-182 is gearing up for an exciting new phase with their 2024 North American tour dates recently unveiled.
The band’s upcoming US leg, part of their global tour, is set to commence in June, boasting 30 additional dates and promising fans “new production elements” for an enhanced experience. Attendees can expect expanded seat capacity and a complete 360-degree view of the stage, ensuring an immersive show for all.
The announcement, made via an Instagram story, also disclosed the lineup of support acts, including Pierce The Veil, Alexisonfire, Astronoid, Drain, Ekkstacy, Hot Milk, Jxdn, Landon Barker, and Live Without.
The tour is scheduled to kick off in Orlando on June 20 and conclude in Toronto on August 15, offering fans across North America ample opportunities to catch their favorite band live.
Following the North American leg, Blink-182 will embark on international dates in the UK and Ireland, marking a significant milestone. This international tour segment was previously uncertain due to drummer Travis Barker’s aversion to flying after a tragic accident in 2008 that claimed four lives.
However, Barker’s recent experiences, including flying to Cabo San Lucas with his wife Kourtney Kardashian, have shifted his perspective. He credited Kardashian for her healing influence, enabling him and his family to overcome past traumas associated with flying.
In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Barker expressed gratitude for love’s transformative power, stating, “I think the power of love really helped me. Kourt made it so I fly, my kids fly now. She healed us.”
Despite the challenges and anxieties linked to flying, Barker emphasized his determination to not let past experiences dictate his future, asserting, “I don’t like anything having a hold on me, either — I don’t like being afraid, and I don’t like having things from my past control my future.”
