Adele has admitted she’s “very jealous” she missed Madonna’s first world tour date.

Speaking at the Weekends with Adele show in Las Vegas on Saturday night, the Rolling in the Deep hitmaker paid tribute to the iconic pop singer, who launched the Celebration Tour in London on the same day.

“Do you know Madonna opened her tour in London tonight? Are there any Madonna fans here tonight?” Adele, 35, asked the audience to loud applause.

“I love Madonna and I’m very, very excited,” the performer continued, adding that she’s glad the Material Girl singer is doing well after being hospitalized earlier this year with a serious bacterial infection.

Madonna remained in intensive care for several days as a result of the infection. She was forced to postpone her world tour, which was originally scheduled to begin in the U.S. in July.

“I’m very jealous I wasn’t at the London show, but I’ll see her whenever she stops in L.A. Very, very excited,” Adele gushed.

The Queen of Pop kicked off her 78-date tour at the O2 Arena. The tour features her biggest hits from the past four decades. The opening show featured many of her most iconic outfits, music videos and a set design that included a layered wedding cake that mimicked her career-making performance at the 1984 MTV VMAs.

Madonna, 65, is scheduled to perform in several European countries. She will then travel to North America.

Meanwhile, Adele’s Las Vegas residency, which began on November 18, 2022, will end on November 4.
