For the new song ‘Happier’ Bring Me The Horizon and Yungblud have teamed up again.

Oli Sykes and co. previously collaborated on the 2020 track ‘Obey’ from BMTH’s EP ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ with the 26-year-old star – real name Dominic Harrison.

The new track will be released on Tuesday (17.10.23) at 6pm BST and will premiere on BBC Radio 1.

Yungblud has previously spoken of Oli’s influence on him as a make-up-wearing teenager in the north of England and how the frontman “saved [his] life”.

He explained to NME: “He literally redefined my perception of growing up in the north wearing make-up and being different. He basically saved my life.

The 36-year-old admitted he wished he possessed Yungblud’s outgoing nature.

He said: “He [Yungblud] is the kind of artist that rock needs – the kind of rock star that changes a scene. I love him; he lights up a room. He’s the opposite of me. I wish I could have the confidence he has. It’s contagious and that’s why a lot of kids look up to him.

The ‘DArkSide’ star went on to praise the ‘Fleabag’ rocker for being the only artist since the late David Bowie to be “unashamedly and genuinely himself”.

He added: “Not since Bowie have we had people who are so unashamedly and genuinely themselves and don’t give a f*** and don’t play by the rules.

“Even Yungblud was like, ‘Doing a song together is so good for the scene. It doesn’t matter if you have the best band in the world, because if that’s the only band, then the scene dies… You can count on two hands the prominent rock bands that aren’t legacy acts or indie/pop bands like The 1975.
