Toronto-based electronic artist Debby Friday has released a new song about a week after winning the 2023 Polaris Music Prize. The track is called “Let U In,” and it follows Friday’s debut LP, Good Luck, from earlier this year.

While on tour in Australia in support of Good Luck, Friday recorded “Let U In” in Melbourne. The track was co-produced by Friday and singer and electronic producer Darcy Baylis.

Good Luck was recorded at Candle Recording Studio in Toronto and mastered by Heba Kadry in New York. Friday co-produced the LP, which features the standout single “So Hard to Tell,” with Graham Walsh. Friday’s debut EP, Bitchpunk, arrived in 2018, followed by the six-song release Death Drive the following year.

As part of a string of tour dates following Good Luck, Friday will perform at Pitchfork Music Festival London on November 11 at the Roundhouse.
