Finnish melodic death metal band Mors Principium Est has revealed that their ninth studio album, Darkness Invisible, will be released on September 26. The album will come out through Perception, a new label imprint under Reigning Phoenix Music. Along with the announcement, the band has released the first single titled “Of Death.”
The album was self-recorded by the band at Ansa Studio in Ulvila, Finland. Mixing and mastering were done by Jens Bogren and Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. These studios are known for working with notable metal acts such as Amorphis, Sepultura, and Kreator.
Bassist and vocalist Teemu Heinola shared his thoughts on joining Perception:
“Joining Perception marks a powerful new chapter for us. We are proud to join a label family that includes so many legendary bands. With their support, we are ready to deliver our most intense, fiery, and ambitious album yet. The future is bright, even though it is shrouded in Darkness Invisible.”
Label strategist Nils Wasko also expressed his enthusiasm:
“Throughout their career, Mors Principium Est has continued to impress me and metal fans worldwide with fast, solid melodic death metal. Although they have not been very active live, their fanbase grows with every release. This shows their skill and dedication. The new single ‘Of Death’ is just the beginning. We’re excited to welcome them to Perception!”
Fans can listen to “Of Death” now and pre-order Darkness Invisible through the label.
