Belgian modern metal band Aeveris has returned with a powerful new single titled “Gravity.” From the opening moments, the track hits hard with explosive energy. Aggressive and intense vocals blend seamlessly with dynamic guitar riffs and thunderous drums, delivering a sound that is both heavy and emotional.
Thematically, “Gravity” explores the struggle of chasing dreams while being weighed down by self-doubt, societal pressure, and life’s many obstacles. The band says the song reflects a common human experience—working toward success while constantly being pulled back. It’s a message many listeners will find deeply relatable.
This new track is the second single from Aeveris’ upcoming full-length album. It was recorded and mixed by Pieter Nyckees at Shellshock Studio and mastered by Franky DSVD, best known for his work with Channel Zero.
With “Gravity,” Aeveris also debuts its updated line-up. The band now features Wouter Van Kerschaver on vocals, who gained attention from his performance on The Voice Van Vlaanderen 2024. Wouter brings a commanding voice and a bold stage presence. Dempsey Derous, known from bands like Guilty as Charged, Artfx, and Behind The Veil, joins on guitar, showcasing technical skill and fluid playing that enhance the band’s evolving sound.
The single is accompanied by a lyric video created by Van Kerschaver himself. The video is set for release on May 23, 2025, and aims to visually capture the emotional and energetic tone of the song.
