The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude after a surprise visit from Grammy-nominated country music artist Jelly Roll.
The singer stopped by the county jail on Tuesday ahead of his scheduled performance at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. He is currently touring North America with Post Malone and Sierra Ferrell, as previously reported by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.
During the visit, Jelly Roll spoke about his past, sharing how he turned his life around after spending years in jail.
In recognition of his visit and message of hope, Sheriff Dawanna Witt presented Jelly Roll with a commemorative key to the jail.
