Country music star Jelly Roll has made a major announcement about his career.
On May 14, Jason DeFord, known as Jelly Roll, shared a video on Instagram from London, England. He said, “London, England! Listen, y’all. Biggest announcement of my career.”
He revealed that he will be performing at Tottenham Stadium in England alongside Post Malone. “The first night’s already sold out. I’ll be there. The second night is on sale,” he added.
Jelly Roll expressed excitement about playing in England for the first time. “I can’t believe I’m even coming to England, but my first time will be two stadium shows with Post Malone. Please come out to see us, y’all,” he said.
Fans quickly responded to the announcement in the comments. One wrote, “You’re unstoppable, bubba! ENGLANNNNND!! How cool.” Another said, “God bless you, brother! I love seeing The Lord continue to work through you.” A third fan noted, “Our man is shaping up, looking healthy, glowing. It’s a beautiful thing to see.”
These shows will mark Jelly Roll’s first performances in the UK. Until now, he was unable to travel internationally due to a criminal record from his younger years.
In April, Jelly Roll moved closer to receiving a full pardon in Tennessee. This pardon would allow him to travel overseas freely.
“I want to be an inspiration for people who are now where I used to be — to let them know that change is truly possible. One reason I’m asking for your recommendation is because I want to take my message of redemption across the world,” he told the board, according to the Associated Press.
Post Malone has several upcoming international shows, but it is still unclear if Jelly Roll will be allowed to join him in other countries.
