Amazon Prime Video has announced a multi-year agreement to continue streaming the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards through 2028. The announcement follows the recent livestream of the show’s 60th annual edition.
The ACM Awards, produced by Dick Clark Productions, first moved to Amazon in 2022. This marked a major shift, as it became the first major awards show to air exclusively on a streaming platform. Before that, it was broadcast on CBS for 23 years. The new agreement, revealed during Amazon’s 2026 upfront presentation in New York on Monday, will take the awards through their 63rd edition.
The 60th ACM Awards took place on May 8 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Country music icon Reba McEntire hosted the show, which featured performances by a wide range of artists including the Backstreet Boys, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lionel Richie, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Shaboozey.
Lainey Wilson won entertainer of the year for the second consecutive year and earned three additional awards. She was the second-most awarded artist of the night. Ella Langley took home the most awards, winning five in total. Country legend Alan Jackson received the first-ever ACM Lifetime Achievement Award, while Keith Urban was honored with the ACM Triple Crown Award.
Raj Kapoor served as the showrunner for the 60th ACM Awards. Executive producers included Kapoor, Damon Whiteside from the ACM, and Jay Penske and Barry Adelman from Dick Clark Productions. Patrick Menton was co-executive producer, and John Saade was consulting producer for Amazon MGM Studios.
“This partnership with the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions has been a great success,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “Thanks to the outstanding 60th anniversary show hosted by Reba McEntire, we are thrilled to continue working with the Academy and DCP for the next three years. We look forward to delivering even more exciting and star-filled shows for Prime Video audiences around the world.”
