Cinestezia Symphonic, Romania’s first cinematic pop-symphonic concert, will take place on May 25 at Sala Radio in Bucharest.
The concert, created by Romanian artist Leyah, brings together 70 musicians, advanced visual technology, and a modern sound that reimagines classical music in a fresh, contemporary way. Organizers say the event is designed to offer a musical experience that speaks to the new generation.
“Film music, pop rhythms, grand orchestrations, voice, piano, and new media art come together to create a vivid and emotional story. A concert that feels like a film, combining music, visuals, and deep emotion — Cinestezia Symphonic offers a complete experience where sound turns into images and music tells a powerful story,” the press release explains.
Leyah, who is a pianist, singer, and composer, will perform live alongside the Symphactory Strings orchestra, choir, drums, and bass. The performance will be conducted by renowned conductor Tiberiu Soare and will feature orchestrations by South African artist John Walton. The show will also include visuals by H3 Creative Tech, turning the concert into a full sensory journey where sound and image blend into an immersive experience.
This is the first time a Romanian artist has created a concert of this kind.
“I often wonder how many young people have ever stepped into Sala Radio. For many, this concert will be their first time. I want their first experience in this symbolic place for classical music to feel emotional, not distant,” said Leyah.
“Cinestezia Symphonic does just that — it brings classical music into a form where people don’t feel overwhelmed but welcomed. It builds a bridge between worlds. I want every young person who comes to this concert to leave with a full heart, feeling that this music is meant for them too,” she added.
