K-pop girl groups aespa and Katseye have been confirmed as performers for the 2025 Summer Sonic Festival in Japan, Creativeman Productions announced on Thursday.
The festival, set to take place over two days—August 16 and 17—in Tokyo and Osaka, will feature a star-studded lineup of around 100 artists. Headliners include American singer-songwriter Camila Cabello, British electronic group The Prodigy, American rockers Fall Out Boy, and Japanese rock band Official Hige Dandism.
aespa, who debuted in Korea in 2020 with “Black Mamba,” made their official Japanese debut in July 2024 with the single “Hot Mess.” Meanwhile, Katseye, formed after winning the 2023 audition show The Debut: Dream Academy, is set to perform following their June 2024 debut with the track “Debut.”
