Blackpink’s Lisa is expanding her artistic horizons with the launch of Lalisa Comics, a new comic book company that will release Alter-Ego: The Official Comic on February 28. The limited-edition, 56-page comic will complement her debut album, Alter-Ego, offering fans an immersive experience inspired by the music.
The comic, illustrated by Minomiyabi, will feature five distinct alter-egos of Lisa, each representing a different facet of her personality. The characters include Kiki, an arcade champion; Speedi, a fearless risk-taker; Roxi, a social star seeking connection; Sunni, a gentle peacekeeper; and Vixi, a quiet tech genius. The storyline, set in a neon-lit cyberpunk city, follows the group as they band together to rescue Vixi from a virtual reality nightmare created by bullies.
Lisa, who also wrote the comic’s storyline, said the project reflects the different sides of herself that she explores through her music. Pre-orders for the comic, priced at $19.99, are available on her website.
Alter-Ego, which features collaborations with Rosalía, Doja Cat, and Raye, is set to drop alongside the comic on February 28.
