Singer-songwriter BD.ii turned heads with a flawless rendition of Miguel’s “Adorn” on The Voice, earning a coveted four-chair turn from the coaches. Stepping onto the stage with quiet confidence, BD.ii’s smooth, controlled vocal delivery and effortless stage presence immediately captivated both the audience and the judges.
Michael Bublé was the first to hit his button, recognizing BD.ii’s raw talent. Kelsea Ballerini quickly followed suit, with John Legend and Adam Levine rounding out the four-chair turn. However, Levine’s excitement was short-lived as he realized he had been blocked by Ballerini, leaving him visibly frustrated.
Miguel’s “Adorn,” a standout track from his Kaleidoscope Dream album, has become a modern R&B classic, spending 23 weeks at the top of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and winning the Grammy for Best R&B Song. The song also reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100.
With a remarkable vocal performance and John Legend’s mentorship, BD.ii is quickly becoming one of the season’s most promising contenders.
