Drake & PartyNextDoor’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U Breaks Apple Music R&B Record

by Barbara

Drake and PartyNextDoor’s highly anticipated collaborative album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, has already made a major impact on Apple Music, setting a new record for the biggest first-day streams of any R&B/soul album in the platform’s history.

The album, which marks Drake’s first full release since his 2023 album For All the Dogs—which spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200—has been eagerly awaited for years. This new project also comes on the heels of a highly publicized rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, with Lamar taking a direct shot at the Toronto rapper during his Super Bowl Halftime performance on February 9. Lamar performed his diss track “Not Like Us,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100, in front of over 100 million viewers.
