Ernest, one of country music’s rising stars known for his hit collaborations, may be preparing for another major partnership. Following his success with Morgan Wallen on tracks like “Flower Shops” and “Cowgirls,” and his recent duet with Lainey Wilson on “I Would If I Could,” the singer-songwriter teased fans with a new studio session that could signal a future collaboration.
Ernest shared a series of photos on Instagram showing him in the studio with rapper Post Malone and rising Texas rapper BigXthaPlug, alongside Tennessee producer Bandplay. The post, captioned “Texas Nashville,” has sparked speculation about a potential cross-genre collaboration between the artists.
This wouldn’t be Ernest’s first time working with Post Malone. He previously contributed to Posty’s F-1 Trillion album, writing and featuring on several tracks, including the hit “Devil I’ve Been” and the Billboard-charting single “I Had Some Help” featuring Wallen. Ernest’s songwriting credits also extend to chart-topping hits for Morgan Wallen (“Wasted on You,” “Somebody’s Problem”), Jelly Roll (“Son of a Sinner”), Florida Georgia Line (“Dig Your Roots”), and Kane Brown (“One Mississippi”).
Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about this intriguing collaboration.
