Edmonton is set to turn up the volume this summer with the launch of the Rockin’ Thunder festival, a two-day rock music extravaganza taking place July 11-12 at the Exhibition Lands race track.
The inaugural event promises high-energy performances from rock legends including Def Leppard, Weezer, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and more. Joining the powerhouse lineup are Brett Michaels, Stone Temple Pilots, Queensrÿche, and a host of Canadian talent such as Toque, the Trews, and Default.
“This is a dream come true for us—to bring this caliber of rock to the prairies,” said festival CEO Troy Vollhoffer. “With Edmonton’s incredible festival atmosphere, we knew it was the perfect place and time to make this happen.”
Tickets are now available, starting at $150 for a single day or $275 for a weekend pass.
