Billy Ray Cyrus extended a heartfelt congratulations to his daughter, Miley Cyrus, following her first country GRAMMY win. Miley took home the award for Best Duo/Group Performance for her duet with Beyoncé, “II Most Wanted.”
Although Billy Ray has earned two GRAMMY Awards in recent years for his involvement in “Old Town Road” (Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Vocal Performance), he has never won a country GRAMMY. He has, however, been nominated five times for country categories, including a Best New Artist nomination in 1993.
Sharing a graphic of Miley’s win on Instagram, Billy Ray posted, “Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins! Couldn’t be prouder!!!”
The post sparked a wave of support from his followers, with many commenting on the touching father-daughter moment. One fan wrote, “Awe, good daddy!!” while another praised Miley’s growth, saying, “She has grown into a beautiful young lady. I know you love her and are very proud of her.” However, not all reactions were positive—one fan referenced past family tension, writing, “A year ago, you were calling her the devil.”
