Australian country music star Andrew Swift is kicking off 2025 with a bang, releasing his first single of the year, “Nothing Better,” while embarking on a major national tour. The three-time Golden Guitar award winner, who is also preparing for fatherhood and celebrating new milestones such as purchasing a home, expressed gratitude for his changing life.
Reflecting on his journey, Swift shared, “Not long ago, I was mentally preparing to fix caravans and live as a single man until the end of my days. I didn’t think being a full-time musician, homeowner, with a partner and a baby on the way, would be on the cards. But here we are. Life really blindsides you in the best way possible.”
“Nothing Better,” co-written by Swift alongside Lindsay Rimes and Tyler James Bellinger during the APRA Melbourne-Nashville SongHubs sessions, captures his sense of gratitude. The track was produced by Swift’s long-time collaborator, multi-award-winning Matt Fell, who continues to play a significant role in the artist’s creative journey. Swift is particularly excited to work at Fell’s new studio, Wilder Studios, in remote Tasmania, which allows for focused, uninterrupted recording.
