Belgian modern metal band Aeveris has returned with their new single, “The Mask,” a fast-paced track that explores the concept of hiding one’s true identity behind a facade. The song delivers a relatable and powerful message about the struggle to maintain a false front in daily life.
“The Mask” serves as the first single from the band’s upcoming full album, which was recorded, mixed, and mastered in-house at Shellshock Studio. From the very first riff, the track captures attention with its technical precision, while the new vocalist’s dynamic range shifts between harsh and clean vocals. The anthemic chorus, which is poised for crowd singalongs, carries the melodic essence Aeveris is known for.
Accompanying the single is a fiery music video, directed by Atef Baza of Studio_Baza, that complements the track’s intensity.
This release also marks the introduction of Aeveris’ new lineup. Vocalist Wouter Van Kerschaver, known for his participation in The Voice Van Vlaanderen 2024, brings his commanding presence and powerful voice to the group. Guitarist Dempsey Derous, recognized for his work with Guilty as Charged, Artfx, and Behind The Veil, adds technical flair and smooth playing to elevate the band’s sound.
