Tool stunned fans with an unexpected live performance at the Bass Magazine Awards in Santa Ana, California. The band, initially attending to celebrate bassist Justin Chancellor’s Lifetime Achievement Award, shocked the audience when members Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, and Danny Carey joined Chancellor on stage.

Although the event was advertised as a celebration with Chancellor performing alongside bass legends Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey, the surprise came when the full band took the stage. The group performed two iconic tracks: “Schism” from Lateralus (2001) and “Jambi” from 10,000 Days (2006), much to the delight of the crowd. The intimate performance made for a memorable moment at the Bass Magazine Awards.
