BLACKPINK’s Rosé has further cemented her status as a global icon, earning her fifth Guinness World Record with a groundbreaking achievement for K-pop. For the first time in history, a K-pop idol has topped the Apple Music Top 100 Global Chart—a record-breaking feat for Rosé and a new milestone in her remarkable career.
The achievement stems from the success of “APT.,” the lead single from her debut solo album rosie, which soared to the number one spot on the prestigious chart on October 24, 2023. Featuring Bruno Mars, the track not only dominated the global Apple Music charts but also secured number one positions on national charts in Australia and Venezuela.
Rosé’s success with rosie has been nothing short of extraordinary. The album made history as the highest-charting female K-pop album on the Billboard 200, debuting at number three. “APT.” was a game-changer for her, earning her the title of the first female K-pop soloist to land a top 10 hit on the UK Singles Chart. She later surpassed her own record when the song climbed to number two.
In addition to her Apple Music and UK chart success, Rosé also made waves on the Billboard Pop Airplay Chart, where “APT.” became the highest-charting K-pop song. The collaboration with Bruno Mars has led to numerous accolades, including Song of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards, and Rosé is also nominated for Best Music Video at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Awards.
With these achievements, Rosé continues to break barriers and redefine what’s possible for K-pop artists on the global stage.
