Country music artist John Morgan is set to release his debut album, Carolina Blue, on April 25. The highly anticipated 12-track collection will feature Morgan’s Jason Aldean-assisted hit, “Friends Like That,” along with previously released songs “I Know Better” and “Long Ride Home,” as well as the new single “Crickets.”
Morgan, a North Carolina native, reflects on his personal evolution in the album, noting that he’s now at a different stage of life—married and a father—compared to when he first moved to Nashville. “I don’t try to be anything I’m not,” he says. “I’ve never been good at that, and I know folks can sniff that out pretty quick.”
He hopes that the album will resonate with listeners, especially blue-collar workers, as they find value in their own experiences through the lyrics. “I want them to hear their stories and feel their worth in this album,” Morgan shares.
Currently on tour with Chase Matthew, Morgan’s “Friends Like That” is climbing the country charts and is already in the top 15.
